Laura is a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator and a certified eating disorder specialist. Laura maintains a private nutrition practice in New York City, Laura Cipullo Whole Nutrition Services. Specializing in diabetes, preventing and treating eating disorders, pediatric and family nutrition, Laura uses a holistic approach; through a combination of medical nutrition therapy, intuitive eating and client empowerment. Laura’s private practice offers clients mindful meal support therapy in addition to individual and family consultations.
Well-respected for her expertise on nutrition related subjects, Laura has been featured on television programs including CBS’s The Couch, CNBC’s First in Business Worldwide, Headline News, and Fox and Friends. A writer and commentator, she has contributed to national publications such as Real Simple magazine and Diabetes Forecast.
Laura is the creator of Healthy Habits, a workbook in The Mommy Manual Series, to help children and their families develop a positive relationship with eating and look at food through a neutral lens. These concepts are taught through hands-on activities including recipes and can be led by a mom, teacher or health facilitator. In addition, Laura is the author of the Diabetes Comfort Food Diet book which will be available in the fall of this year.
