Exercise of the month: Scissors Variation 4

The confetti has settled and the New Year has begun! As promised, here is our last (advanced) variation of December’s exercise, scissors. Stay tuned for our January exercise of the month, and in the meantime, start your new year right with our scissors variations 1, 2 and 3.

Set Up:
Supine/knees flexed
Neutral spine, thera-band wrapped around foot

Inhale: flex thoracic spine off the mat and extend one leg to 90 degrees and one leg reaching away from you parallel with the mat
Exhale: lower extended leg towards the mat/scissor opposite leg
inhale: return extended leg to 90 degrees
