kinectED: Shoulders, Neck & Wrists: Restoring Motion & Function Through Pilates

513One thing almost all of our Pilates clients have in common is daily practice of hunched forward posture from text messaging, computer use and prolonged periods of sitting. Rebekah Rotstein‘s upcoming workshop Shoulders, Neck & Wrists: Restoring Motion & Function Through Pilates aims to unravel the damage on our upper bodies from these habits. Rebekah will apply PNF techniques, neuromyofascial release and visceral mobilization to the classical Pilates choreography as well as share innovative exercises to incorporate into your repertoire. Participants can expect to learn:
  • how the fascia and nerves direct the muscles of the upper quarter
  • how to assess joint mechanics of the shoulder girdle
  • techniques to immediately increase shoulder range of motion
  • how to alleviate neck pain through the wrists
  • how mobilizing the liver could improve shoulder issues

Date: Saturday, 12/6: 9am-5pm; CECs: Kane School = 8 hours; Cost: $275
